research paper topic
I would like to write a research paper on celebrity obsession. The fact that we are only so obsessed with celebs because they possess things which we do not and because they are in a way "tragic heroes", which we discussed in class, is the possible thesis I may choose to research. I am going to look into different explainations as to why we are so "interested" and figure out which is the best and why. I will probably end up making my thesis way more specific once I begin to do more research, though.

Donde esta sus thesis statements? You were suppose to write 2-3 of them, but I dont see any!!!! I hope enjoyed my spanish.
Voy a usar español también! Um, I like your idea and the thesis is okay, but I would be careful about 'researching which is the best one and why' because those are your specific opinions. You could choose perhaps two or three and compare and contrast them within your paper though. Espero que te guste mi español.
Your topic is very broad. However, you could add some elements from your thesis into the topic to be more specific.
I like your claim but it would require a great amount of research. You may want to be just a little more specific. You could look into the relationship between celebrity's conspicious consumption and Marxist theory. You may want to choose either the element of "halve's and have not's" or the element of "tragic heroism" to specify your topic. Your paper could end up being an interesting commentary on American culture.
A great amount of potential here
The idea of trajic heroes if used right should make a great paper. If you do use that topic make sure you go into why people are drawn to watching their downfall. I can't offer much more advice seeing that you have no theses.
There are probably thousands of psychological studies on why people are so entertained by others' downfalls. You should have no problem proving your point. (By this I am making assumptions on what you actually want to prove b/c you don't have any theses). Your topic is very specific, which is good. If you want some comments on your thesis statements, you should post them. that would give us a better idea of what you are trying to prove.
